THE LOCATION
  THE HEART OF AFRICA

From the drought resistant vegetation of the arid wastelands of Karamojo to the herbaceous botanicals of the volcanic slopes of the Mountains of the Moon, Uganda has one of Africa’s richest and most diverse environments. Lake Victoria, which gave the company its name, dominates the geography of Uganda sustaining both man and animals and ensuring a moderate climate throughout the year.

LPS
has established farms in different parts of Uganda to allow each crop to grow in the most nourishing environment: at high altitude in volcanic soils, where large variations in day and night temperature produce plants especially rich in phyto-nutrients such as pygeum, artemesia and rauwolfia; near the source of the Nile, where free draining alluvial soils provide ideal conditions for herbaceous crops such as basil, capsicum and pennywort (Centella).
